Organic Gardening Workshop:
COMPOSTING Made Easy!
“Composting Made Easy” Workshop Saturday, June 6 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. @ Stober Community Garden
Every year Stober Community Garden and Sustainable Applewood collaborate to bring a relevant Organic Gardening Workshop “free” for our neighbors and beyond. This is a casual, interactive event where “All are Welcome” to come and learn, bring their ideas, and share their experiences with other neighbors! We are collaborating with other Sustainable Neighborhoods to get the word out such as Sustainable Morse Park and the new Sustainable “Lakewood Heights” neighborhood!
We will cover simple compost techniques such as brewing your own compost tea to filling you in on a NEW and EXCITING (and affordable) compost drop off program for Lakewood residents… you won’t want to miss this. And we can’t wait to learn more from you and what works for you to make Composting Easy!!
We will be meeting in the Stober Outdoor Classroom inside the ‘Hug and Go” loop in front of Stober Community Garden (just to the west of the school). There is some nice rock seating in the outdoor classroom, but feel free to bring a camping chair or blanket for the grass if you’d prefer. We will have water available onsite, but please don’t forget to bring your own water bottle.
And don’t forget to come with your questions, ideas, and anything you’d like to share!
